Mud anyone?
And so in typical British summertime (is it summer yet?) fashion Saturday's blistering sun was swapped for heavy rain on Sunday, which turned Braintree's freshly resurfaced track into a mud bath for EA regional round 3. The weather kept many people away and numbers were low, but those who did brave it were kept well entertained.
Myself and John rode in the combined 17+/superclass, which wound up having 5 riders in total, John taking the win in superclass as it's only entrant whilst I got second in 17+ behind the legend that is Julian Allen, despite my best efforts to ride him off the track at every opportunity! Jack Driver was 4th in 16's, even with a snapped brake lever after one of his crashes!
A fun day all in all, so cheers to Braintree for braving it and running the event.
